Climbing the regional ranks

The signature win of Aronov's career came in May 2022, when he traveled to Canada and faced top Unified MMA contender Mariusz Ksiazkiewicz, who entered at 10-1. Aronov controlled the fight and finished it with a second-round arm-triangle choke at Unified MMA 45, the most impressive result of his run and a clear statement against a seasoned opponent. The performance helped earn him a high-profile opportunity on Dana White's Contender Series in 2023.

Contender Series setback

Aronov's perfect record ended on the biggest stage of his career. At Contender Series 2023 in August, he met undefeated prospect Zach Reese, who caught him in a first-round armbar to hand Aronov his first professional loss. The result dropped him to 6-1 in MMA competition and remains the lone blemish on his record, with a previously scheduled bout against Ryan Loder earlier that year not coming to fruition.

Aronov is a grappling-first fighter whose foundation is elite Greco-Roman wrestling, supplemented by judo, Luta Livre, and a developing boxing game.
