Building a Brazilian resume

The spine of Dias's pre-UFC run was a stretch of dominance on the Shooto Brasil circuit. In November 2019 he outpointed the vastly experienced veteran Wendell Oliveira over three rounds at Shooto Brasil 98, a unanimous-decision win over a 30-plus-fight opponent that showcased his ability to manage a long night against a durable hand. His ledger over this period was littered with quick finishes, the kind of high-percentage submission and knockout work that builds a reputation in Brazil.

Testing the limits

Dias's climb was not a straight line. He stepped onto the grappling stage at Submission Circus 1 in 2021 and was caught by rising heavyweight standout Jailton Almeida, who choked him out in a specialist grappling match. In April 2022 he ran into the experienced Marcin Bandel at BRAVE CF 58 and dropped a three-round unanimous decision, one of the rare times he was outworked over a full fight. Rather than derail him, those setbacks against quality opposition seasoned him for the level to come.

UFC arrival

Dias made his Octagon debut at UFC Macau on May 30, 2026, and wasted no time. He overwhelmed fellow newcomer Yi Sak Lee with a first-round TKO by punches, a statement finish that announced him as a finisher to watch in a crowded middleweight division and extended a winning run that began on the Brazilian regional scene.
