Rise through ACA

Nasrudinov's strongest stretch came across 2019 and 2020. In August 2019 he stopped the well-traveled Jorge Gonzalez – a 15-3 veteran – with second-round strikes at ACA 97, a statement win over quality opposition. He followed it in March 2020 by outpointing Cory Hendricks over the distance at ACA 105, then in July 2020 earned a third-round doctor stoppage over the 11-2 Evgeny Egemberdiev at ACA 107. That body of work pushed him toward a shot on the international stage.

Stepping up and tough nights

The step up exposed the gap to the elite. In September 2021, Nasrudinov took a Contender Series opportunity against Jailton Almeida, the Brazilian grappling phenom, and was submitted by rear-naked choke in the second round – Almeida would go on to become a ranked UFC heavyweight. Nasrudinov rebounded in March 2022 with a first-round win over Claudio Conti at Ares FC, but later that year ran into another wall: at RCC 12 in August 2022, the veteran Ivan Shtyrkov, a 20-2-1 fixture of the Russian scene, stopped him by ground-and-pound in the opening round.
