Building a knockout reputation

Hofmann's run through URCC was relentless. In 2016 he forced a stoppage of Caloy Baduria via a second-round shoulder injury at URCC 27: Rebellion, then knocked out Arvin Chan at URCC Fight Night 3. The marquee result of this stretch came in November 2016, when he overwhelmed unbeaten prospect John Adajar by second-round ground-and-pound at URCC 28: Vindication. He kept the momentum going with ground-and-pound finishes of David Douglas at URCC 29: Conquest and Robert Sothmann at URCC 30, both in 2017, before stopping Musa Conteh at URCC 77: Raw Fury in 2019.

Welterweight title and the UFC test

After a layoff, Hofmann returned in March 2023 to knock out Min Seok Kim in the second round at URCC 83: Bloodline, a result that capped his standing as one of URCC's signature champions. The breakthrough earned him a shot on the global stage via Road to UFC in May 2023, but there his unbeaten streak ended: Sang Hoon Yoo stopped him in the third round with punches and a knee, the only other blemish on his record. The loss underlined the step up in competition while leaving his finishing pedigree intact.

Fighting style

Hofmann is a finisher in the truest sense – every one of his nine wins has come by knockout or TKO, a 100 percent finish rate that few fighters at any level can match. He blends heavy, technical boxing with punishing ground-and-pound, content to break opponents on the feet or follow them to the canvas and end matters there. The flip side is exposure to elite-level pace and pressure: both of his career losses came by stoppage against higher-tier opposition, suggesting that durability against the sport's best remains the open question. Against regional competition, however, his power has been decisive.
