National exposure and Bellator

Rebello's profile rose in 2010 when he appeared on The Ultimate Fighter Season 11, losing a preliminary-round bout to Josh Bryant that, while a setback, put him on the national radar. He carried that momentum to Bellator, where he outpointed John Doyle by decision at Bellator 17 in 2010. A 2011 decision loss to Dan Cramer at Bellator 39 followed, but Rebello settled into a long, productive home with CES, where his knockout power kept him near the top of the promotion's heavyweight division for years.

CES mainstay and signature wins

Over the following years Rebello became the face of CES heavyweight action, avenging the Bellator-era frustrations with a 2013 second-round knockout of John Doyle in their rematch at CES 20. His most notable win came in February 2018, when he stopped the vastly experienced UFC veteran Travis Wiuff – a fighter with more than 75 wins – by punches in the first round at CES 48. A 2018 Dana White's Contender Series opportunity ended in a first-round spinning-back-fist loss to Josh Parisian, but Rebello bounced back with a first-round knockout of Kevin Haley at CES 57 in 2019 and closed out the record reflected here with a 2020 win at CES 60.

Fighting style

Rebello was a knockout artist first and foremost, with 17 of his 26 wins coming by KO/TKO – a clear majority – built on sharp, well-timed boxing rather than raw size. His power was his great equalizer in a division of much larger men, letting him end fights early against opponents who outweighed him. The honest weakness in his game was the flip side of that power-hunting approach: five of his nine losses came by knockout and two by submission, reflecting a fighter who could be caught when he engaged in firefights or was taken into deep water by grapplers. At his best, though, few CES heavyweights were as dangerous in the opening rounds.
