Jackson "The Moose" McVey is an American middleweight competing in the UFC, born on March 25, 1999, in Minnesota. He earned his nickname early — his mother called him "Moose" because he was such a big kid, and it stuck once he reached the gym. McVey came to mixed martial arts as a self-described UFC video-game obsessive who decided he wanted to live the real thing, and he relocated to the St. Louis area in his early twenties to chase it. Path to the UFC

On debut at UFC 318: Holloway vs. Poirier 3 in July 2025, he ran into the experienced Brunno Ferreira and was caught in a first-round armbar.
