LFA title and the Contender Series

The run that made his name came through Legacy Fighting Alliance, one of the UFC's top feeder promotions. In February 2019 he submitted Clayton York to claim the vacant LFA Light Heavyweight Championship, dominating on the mat at LFA 60. That title earned him a 2019 appearance on Dana White's Contender Series, where he submitted Karl Reed with a third-round rear-naked choke — a statement win that, rather than a UFC contract, opened the door to Bellator MMA.

Bellator run

Anglickas signed with Bellator and immediately tested himself against the division's gatekeepers, beating undefeated prospects Jordan Young and Alex Polizzi by decision before edging Gregory Milliard. As an alternate in Bellator's light heavyweight Grand Prix, he was handed the chance of a lifetime in October 2021, stepping into a Bellator 268 title fight against champion Vadim Nemkov; he came up short, submitted by kimura in the fourth round.
