ONE Championship run

Em's promotional debut came in December 2018, and it could hardly have gone better: she battered the experienced Iryna Kyselova, who entered with a 10-3 record, finishing her with punches inside the first round. The arrival of a finisher in the flyweight ranks was loud and immediate. Her momentum hit a wall in December 2019, when she ran into Rayane Bastos and was caught in a first-round guillotine choke – the lone blemish on her record and her only loss to date. Em answered the setback in January 2021 with the most complete performance of her career, grinding out Jung Yoon Choi and finishing her with ground-and-pound in the second round. A scheduled bout against Colbey Northcutt later in 2021 was cancelled.

Fighting style

Em is a pure finisher: all four of her professional wins have come by knockout or stoppage, giving her a 100% finish rate on the win column. Her foundation is boxing, and her hands are the headline weapon – three of her four victories ended with strikes, including statement first-round stoppages over Kyselova and Robbins. She has rounded out that base with jiu-jitsu, wrestling and grappling, which showed in the ground-and-pound finish of Choi. The one clear lesson on her ledger is defensive grappling: the guillotine loss to Bastos exposed the risk that comes with her forward-pressing, aggressive style. At her best, though, Em is a relentless pressure fighter who looks to end nights early rather than coast to the scorecards.
