UFC career

Alhassan made his UFC debut in November 2016 with a first-round knockout of Charlie Ward, the kind of statement finish that became his calling card. His first real test came in May 2017, when he dropped a split decision to the experienced Omari Akhmedov – one of the few opponents to take him the distance. He responded with twin demolitions of Sabah Homasi, finishing him with punches at UFC 218 in December 2017 and again by knockout at UFC 220 in January 2018, then knocked out the durable Niko Price in the first round at UFC 228 in September 2018. A rough stretch followed: decision losses to Mounir Lazzez in 2020 and Jacob Malkoun in 2021 bracketed a brutal knockout defeat to Khaos Williams. Alhassan reminded everyone of his power with a first-round head-kick knockout of Alessio Di Chirico in August 2021, then a second-round knockout of Claudio Ribeiro in January 2023. The back half of his run grew tougher, with a submission loss to Joe Pyfer in October 2023, a no contest against Cody Brundage in July 2024, and a first-round knockout loss to César Almeida in January 2025.

Fighting style

Alhassan is one of the purest knockout artists in the sport: every single one of his 12 professional wins has come by KO or TKO, a 100% finish rate that speaks to his concussive power and aggressive, all-action approach. His judo base gives him strong clinch work and trips, but his bread and butter is the heavy, compact striking that ends fights early. The trade-off is a feast-or-famine profile – when his power doesn't land cleanly, he has shown vulnerability in longer fights and on the mat, with several of his losses coming by decision or submission. At his most dangerous, though, he needs only one opening to end the night.
