Establishing himself in the UFC

Brundage answered with a pair of first-round finishes that announced his power, submitting Dalcha Lungiambula with a guillotine in March 2022 and knocking out Tresean Gore that July. The middleweight grind then tested him: knockout and submission losses to Michał Oleksiejczuk and Rodolfo Vieira, followed by a decision defeat to Sedriques Dumas in 2023. He steadied himself with a win over Jacob Malkoun and a highlight-reel slam knockout of the previously unbeaten Zach Reese in December 2023.

Veteran resilience

In April 2024 Brundage was submitted by rising star Bo Nickal at UFC 300, and a bout with Abdul Razak Alhassan in July 2024 ended in a no contest due to illegal elbows. He rebounded with a first-round TKO of Julian Marquez in March 2025, then weathered a difficult run of decision losses to Mansur Abdul-Malik, Eric McConico and Donte Johnson, plus a TKO loss to Cam Rowston. He snapped the skid emphatically in May 2026 with a second-round TKO of Andre Petroski.

Fighting style

Brundage is a finisher first and foremost, with a sky-high 83% finish rate across his 12 wins, seven of them by knockout and three by submission. His Division-wrestling pedigree gives him takedowns and top control, but it is his power punching that does the damage, often ending fights in the opening round. The flip side is a tendency toward feast-or-famine results: when he can't impose his pace early, he has been vulnerable to being out-wrestled or out-pointed over three rounds, and several of his losses have come by decision or to submission specialists. Aggressive, durable and willing to fight anyone, he remains one of the middleweight division's more dangerous action fighters.
