Personal background
Adam Fugitt is an American welterweight competing in the UFC, a 6'1" finisher out of Eugene, Oregon, who carries a 10-6 professional record into the Octagon. Born in 1989 and raised in Eugene, Fugitt fell in love with wrestling as a kid – inspired in part by watching the early UFC and the original Ultimate Fighter with friends before recreating moves in the backyard. He wrestled in high school and then for a year at Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay before a torn meniscus and a desire to chase competition full-time pushed him away from the mats and toward mixed martial arts. Path to the UFC
