Climbing the One Pride ranks

Pasulatan turned that loss into the centerpiece of his career arc. After submitting the 10-1 Gunawan with a first-round triangle choke in 2020, he avenged the Mamana defeat in February 2021 with a highlight-reel flying switch kick knockout in the second round – the kind of finish that cemented his Bruce Lee billing. He kept rolling through the One Pride schedule, adding a first-round rear-naked choke of Ahmad Sopiyan, a decision over Parli Tunena, and a fifth-round rear-naked choke of Rustam Hutajulu. He closed 2022 with one of his most memorable finishes, a first-round jumping knee to the liver that dropped Gideon Manurung. That streak earned him a shot on the international stage at Road to UFC in 2023, where he ran into Jiniushiyue and was stopped by ground-and-pound in the first round. A subsequent decision loss in a rematch with Hutajulu cooled his momentum, but he rebounded in 2024 with rear-naked choke wins over David Leonardo and Adi Rominto Manurung.

Fighting style

Pasulatan is a finisher first and foremost, with a 75 percent finish rate and seven of his 12 wins coming by submission. The rear-naked choke is his signature, but his game is far more varied than that suggests: two of his wins are knockouts produced by unconventional, athletic strikes, including a flying switch kick and a jumping knee to the body. That blend of grappling depth and creative striking is exactly what his Bruce Lee nickname implies. His losses point to the gaps that have kept him on the regional circuit – he has been outpointed in decisions and finished by stronger, more positionally dominant grapplers and strikers – but inside the One Pride cage he has consistently been the more dangerous man.
