A run of stoppages

From there, Alvidrez built one of the most violent finishing streaks among welterweight prospects. He starched Marcus Walston with first-round punches at LXF 18 in July 2024, then stepped outside traditional MMA to win a unanimous decision over Levy Saúl Marroquín under the Karate Combat ruleset that September. He returned to the cage in October 2024 to flatten Albert Gonzales inside a round, and in April 2025 produced his signature scalp: a first-round TKO of the seasoned Takashi Sato, a former UFC fighter with a 16-8 record, at XFC Young Guns. Beating a name with that much experience that decisively put him firmly on the matchmakers' radar.

Earning the contract

Alvidrez completed the journey on Dana White's Contender Series in September 2025, where he ran through the previously unbeaten Eliezer Kubanza. He dropped Kubanza with a right hand and swarmed until the referee intervened for a first-round TKO, capturing his UFC contract in the kind of emphatic fashion that has defined his run. The win pushed his professional record to 7-1.

Fighting style

Alvidrez is a pressure striker who wins by hurting people. Five of his seven victories have come by knockout and another by submission, an 86% finish rate that ranks among the highest of any recent welterweight signing. He uses his length and size to walk opponents down, and once he lands clean he is relentless in the follow-up.
