A UFC journeyman's grind

Collier's Octagon tenure became a story of resilience against a steady stream of dangerous opponents. After a 2017 unanimous-decision loss to Devin Clark, he rebounded that November by outpointing Marcel Fortuna over three rounds. A move up to heavyweight brought him face-to-face with rising stars and grizzled veterans alike. In July 2020 he ran into future champion Tom Aspinall, who stopped him in the first round, but Collier bounced back months later with a clear decision over Gian Villante. One of his finest nights came in January 2022, when he submitted Chase Sherman with a first-round rear-naked choke.
