Climbing the rankings

The wins that announced Vieira as a contender came in short order. In September 2017 she submitted Olympic silver medalist Sara McMann with a second-round arm-triangle choke, a statement victory over an elite wrestler. After a 2021 decision loss to Yana Santos, Vieira delivered the signature run of her career.
