Patricia Alujas Record: 9-3-0

Building toward the big stage

Alujas kept stacking wins as her game rounded out. She took a decision over Jéssica Coelho at WSOF Global Championship 9 in 2018, then showcased her grappling growth with a second-round heel hook of Eduarda Caloi at Fusion Fight MMA 2 in 2019. A decision win over Bruna Vargas at CTF 5 in December 2021 extended her run and helped position her as a Contender Series candidate, a rare path for a fighter based in Paraguay.

The Contender Series test

That climb culminated in a 2023 appearance on Dana White's Contender Series, where Alujas faced the experienced, 11–3 Brazilian Julia Polastri. Polastri submitted her by rear-naked choke in the second round, but reaching one of the sport's most-watched proving grounds capped a career that left Alujas with a record of 9–3.

Fighting style

Alujas is an aggressive, finish-minded strawweight whose record reflects a roughly 67% finish rate. Four of her nine wins came by knockout and two by submission — including a kimura and a heel hook — with just two reaching the judges, marking her as a fighter who hunts the stoppage in both phases. Her muay Thai background fuels her power on the feet, while her submission losses, both by choke, point to a vulnerability against high-level grapplers who can drag her into deeper waters on the mat.
