Stepping up internationally

Siahaan's perfect record met its first test on the international stage at Road to UFC in May 2023, where unbeaten Japanese prospect Rei Tsuruya submitted him with a second-round kimura – Siahaan's first professional loss, against a fighter who would go on to the UFC. He answered the setback in emphatic fashion at the end of 2023, signing with Cage Warriors and taking a decision over the unbeaten Andrew Johnson-Cabrera at Cage Warriors 165. He returned to the promotion at Cage Warriors 171 in April 2024, where he dropped a decision to the durable Igor Wojtas, leaving his professional record at 8-2.

Fighting style

Siahaan is a pressure-based knockout artist whose offense runs through his striking. Five of his eight wins have come by knockout or stoppage – including finishes by hook, body kick, knee and strikes – for a finish-heavy profile built on a varied, aggressive standup arsenal rather than a single weapon. The remaining three wins came by decision, showing he can also bank rounds when a finish does not come. His weaknesses surfaced once he faced elite international opposition: both of his losses came against unbeaten or seasoned opponents, one by submission and one by decision, suggesting his grappling and championship-rounds game are where his rough edges remain. As a southpaw with genuine finishing power, however, he is a difficult out for anyone at flyweight.
