Making history

The defining night of Jubli's career came in February 2023, when he stopped Indonesia's Jeka Saragih by second-round TKO in the Road to UFC final to become the first fighter from India to win the tournament and secure a UFC contract. It was a landmark result for the sport in his home country and instantly made him its standard-bearer. The reality of the UFC's elite lightweight division, however, hit hard in his first official Octagon appearance.

UFC challenges

Jubli debuted on the main UFC roster at UFC 294 in October 2023 against Mike Breeden and was knocked out by punches in the third round, a tough first taste of the division's depth. After more than a year out, he returned at UFC 312 in February 2025 against rising prospect Quillan Salkilld and was stopped by a punch in the opening round. The back-to-back losses dropped him to 7-2 and underlined how steep the climb is for a fighter still relatively early in his international career, even as he remains a trailblazer for Indian MMA.

Fighting style

Jubli is a rangy, all-around lightweight who built his record on volume and grit, with four of his seven wins coming by decision alongside two knockouts and one submission, for a finish rate around 43 percent. At his best he uses his frame and pace to wear opponents down over three rounds, and his domestic run showed he can finish when the opening is there. The honest concern is durability against the very top tier: both of his UFC losses came by strikes, suggesting that closing the gap in defense and high-level striking exchanges is the key to turning his physical tools and toughness into Octagon wins.
