Quillan Salkilld is an Australian lightweight competing in the UFC's 155-pound division with a professional record of 12–1. Born on December 28, 1999, in Western Australia and raised in the remote northern town of Broome, Salkilld is now based in Perth, where he trains at Luistro Combat Academy under head coach Romel Luistro. He came to the sport relatively late, beginning his training in 2018 as a personal challenge that quickly turned into an obsession, and developed into a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who describes himself as a complete, hole-free martial artist. Standing a tall 6'0" with a 75-inch reach for the division, he pairs that grappling pedigree with concussive striking power.
Path to the UFC
Salkilld made his professional debut in 2021, and it did not start cleanly – he was submitted in his very first bout, the only loss on his record to date. From there he reeled off a long winning streak under Australia's Eternal MMA banner, where he eventually became the promotion's lightweight champion. Among the building blocks of that run were two wins over Dom Mar Fan, the first a third-round rear-naked choke in 2022 and the second a second-round submission rematch in early 2024, before he stepped onto Dana White's Contender Series in September 2024 and out-pointed the unbeaten Gauge Young over three rounds to lock down his UFC contract.

His breakout came in October 2025 at UFC 321, where he knocked out the durable Nasrat Haqparast with a first-round head kick – a highlight-reel finish that fast-tracked him up the lightweight ladder. He kept the momentum going in January 2026 at UFC 325, submitting Jamie Mullarkey with a first-round neck crank, then scored the biggest scalp of his career in May 2026, stopping former title challenger Beneil Dariush by first-round TKO.
