The win streak

Between 2023 and 2025, Ewing transformed into one of the most dangerous prospects on the West Coast. He submitted Ulysses Molina with a D'Arce choke, knocked out Anthony Parham Jr., and ground out decisions over Brandon Gonzalez and Brandon Carrillo before his finishing instinct fully arrived: a first-round head-kick knockout of the 6–1 Santos Verdinez in early 2025, then a first-round KO of Billy Brand at Urijah Faber's A1 Combat 32 later that year. The run announced him as a genuine call-up candidate.

Inside the Octagon

Ewing's UFC arrival was a baptism by fire – and he passed it spectacularly. Stepping in on roughly two days' notice at UFC 322 in Madison Square Garden, he upset the unbeaten 10–0 Malcolm Wellmaker by unanimous decision, handing the feared knockout artist his first loss. He proved it was no fluke in April 2026, stopping the unbeaten 14–0 Rafael Estevam by third-round TKO. Next he is scheduled to face the ranked, unbeaten Farid Basharat, another undefeated test for a fighter who has built his reputation on ending perfect records.

Fighting style

Ewing is a well-rounded finisher who blends his collegiate wrestling base with increasingly heavy hands. Seven of his ten wins have come by knockout or TKO and one by submission, an 80% finish rate that reflects a fighter dangerous in every phase, while two decision wins show he can also out-grind opponents over fifteen minutes. His head-kick KO of Verdinez and his back-to-back upsets of undefeated prospects underline both his power and his composure under pressure.
