Building an unbeaten UFC run

Basharat carried his perfect record straight into the Octagon. He debuted in March 2023 at UFC 285, grinding out a unanimous decision over the seasoned Da'Mon Blackshear, then showcased his finishing ability that September with a first-round arm-triangle submission of Kleydson Rodrigues. In January 2024 he passed a real measuring-stick test, handing the experienced Taylor Lapilus a unanimous-decision defeat and signaling he belonged among the division's risers.

Climbing the bantamweight ladder

The level of opposition kept climbing and Basharat kept winning. At UFC 308 in October 2024 he outpointed the durable, heavily decorated Victor Hugo over three rounds. He took another step up in October 2025, defeating veteran Chris Gutierrez by unanimous decision at UFC 320. Then, in February 2026, he edged the highly touted prospect Jean Matsumoto by split decision in his toughest test to date, pushing his flawless record to 15-0.
