Marlon Vera Record: 24-12-1

Fighting Style and Attributes

Vera fights out of an orthodox stance and has built a submission-heavy arsenal that reflects his jiu-jitsu roots. Of his 23 career victories, ten have come by submission, eight by knockout, and five by decision, demonstrating his versatility across all finishing methods. His most famous submission—the devastating rear-naked choke—has appeared repeatedly on highlight reels. While not primarily a striker, Vera's hands are competent and dangerous at closer ranges. His strength lies in his ability to close distance, initiate grappling exchanges on his terms, and then dominate his opponent through superior positional control and submission threat. Vera's cardio is exceptional, allowing him to maintain high pressure throughout all three rounds.
