Jean Silva Record: 18-3-0

Octagon arrival and rise

Silva announced himself in the UFC with a first-round TKO of Westin Wilson in January 2024, then kept the finishes coming. He knocked out Charles Jourdain with a second-round punch at UFC 303, and earned a third-round doctor-stoppage TKO over the durable veteran Drew Dober later that year. The momentum carried into 2025, where he opened with a first-round TKO of Melsik Baghdasaryan before the defining win of his run: a second-round ninja-choke submission of Bryce Mitchell at UFC 314, a heated grudge match that proved his grappling matched his striking.

First setback and bounce-back

The win streak met its end in September 2025, when fellow Brazilian Diego Lopes stopped Silva with a second-round spinning back elbow and punches – the lone knockout loss of his career. Silva answered emphatically at UFC 324 in January 2026, out-pointing perennial contender Arnold Allen over three rounds for a statement unanimous decision that reaffirmed his standing near the top of the featherweight picture.

Fighting style

Silva is a finisher to the core, with an 88% finish rate that ranks among the best of any active UFC fighter. Twelve of his 17 wins have come by knockout and three more by submission, leaving just two decisions on his ledger – a profile that reflects a fighter who hunts the finish from the opening bell. His striking is fast, varied and powerful, equally comfortable landing flashy knockouts or accumulating damage, while his submission game, highlighted by the ninja choke of Mitchell, gives opponents no safe haven on the mat. The aggression that makes him so dangerous also leaves openings, as the loss to Lopes showed, but few featherweights match his blend of power, pace and finishing instinct.
