Rebuilding the streak

Batbayar answered that loss emphatically, never again seeing a judge's scorecard. He returned in October 2023 with a first-round rear-naked choke, then in 2024 submitted the veteran Jinbo Zou (15-12) inside a round and stopped Sarvarbek Kenzhaev by first-round TKO. Every win came inside the distance, building a finishing reputation that made him one of the most watchable prospects in the region.

Road to UFC run

That momentum carried him onto the UFC's Road to UFC stage. In May 2025 he knocked out Wataru Yamauchi (7-1) in the second round, then in August 2025 he submitted the highly regarded Agulali (13-1) with a first-round rear-naked choke to advance deep in the season-four flyweight bracket, announcing himself to the promotion with the same all-action style that built his record at home.

Batbayar is the rare fighter with a 100 percent finish rate: all nine of his wins have come inside the distance, split between five submissions and four knockouts.
