Building a body of work

Across the 2010s, Frausto fought everywhere the women's game would have her — Invicta FC, King of the Cage, Bellator, NAAFS and Combate Global among them. She showed her finishing instincts with a guillotine choke of Amy Davis at Invicta FC 3 in 2012, an armbar of Maria Andaverde at King of the Cage in 2015, and a knockout of Charisa Sigala under the Combate banner in 2020. Her 2017 King of the Cage run earned her a strawweight title in that promotion, and she rolled into 2020 on a winning stretch that put her back on the radar of larger organizations.

The toughest tests

That momentum carried Frausto to the sport's biggest stages, where she ran into a wave of elite prospects. In November 2020 she appeared on Dana White's Contender Series against unbeaten Brazilian Luana Pinheiro, a future UFC fighter, and was stopped by punches in the first round. The following August she faced another rising star, the then-perfect Yazmin Jauregui, at Combate Global, dropping a decision to a prospect who would go on to the UFC. Those bouts, against future Octagon competitors, marked the high-water mark of her opposition and capped a 17-fight professional run that left her at 8-9.

Frausto is a finisher first, with an 88% finish rate that is among the most aggressive in her division: of her eight wins, four came by knockout and three by submission, with just one going to the scorecards. She is comfortable hunting for the finish on the feet or on the mat, a versatility that reflects both her striking background and her grappling.
