Zhang Weili was born on August 13, 1989, in Handan, Hebei Province, China. She began training in sanda and kickboxing as a teenager, eventually transitioning into mixed martial arts in 2013. Fighting out of Beijing’s Black Tiger Fight Club, she quickly developed into a well-rounded athlete, blending aggressive striking with technical grappling. Known for her fierce discipline and commitment, Zhang rose through Kunlun Fight before earning her spot in the UFC.

MMA Debut & Rise to UFC

After debuting professionally in 2013, Zhang compiled an impressive record with multiple early finishes across Kunlun Fight, becoming their Women’s Strawweight Champion and defending it successfully.
