UFC run

Petroski announced himself in the Octagon with a third-round TKO of Micheal Gillmore in August 2021, then submitted Yaozong Hu by arm-triangle choke at UFC 267 that October. He kept the momentum rolling through 2022, catching the previously unbeaten Nick Maximov with a first-round anaconda choke and grinding out a unanimous decision over veteran Wellington Turman at UFC 281. He edged grappling ace Gerald Meerschaert by split decision at UFC 292 in 2023 before hitting a rough stretch: a first-round TKO loss to Michel Pereira later that year and a 2024 stoppage defeat to Jacob Malkoun. He steadied himself with decision wins over Josh Fremd and Dylan Budka, then outpointed Brazilian jiu-jitsu standout Rodolfo Vieira in early 2025.
