Ateba Gautier Record: 11-2-0

MMA Debut & Rise to UFC

Gautier began his professional MMA career in 2021 and quickly rose through the regional ranks. He debuted in Africa with a decision win over Israel Mano, rebounded from his only loss—a close split decision in 2022—and went on a six-fight finishing streak across promotions in Europe, improving his record to 7–1.

In September 2024, he earned a spot on Dana White’s Contender Series, where he delivered a second-round knockout of Yura Naito to earn a UFC contract. Just six months later, on March 29, 2025, Gautier made his UFC debut at UFC on ESPN 64 in Mexico City. In a breakout performance, he finished José Daniel Medina with a brutal knee strike late in the first round, earning a Performance of the Night bonus and immediate recognition among UFC fans and insiders.

Fighting Style & Attributes

Standing at 6′4″ with an 81-inch reach, Gautier fights in an orthodox stance and brings a powerful, explosive arsenal of kicks, punches, and knees. His striking is technical and precise, often built around feints, sharp counters, and clean combinations. Though his nickname reflects his personality, it also speaks to the way he finishes fights—calculated, efficient, and violent.

Gautier’s base in wrestling and boxing gives him solid takedown defense and dangerous clinch work, while his striking is highlighted by a devastating rear-leg head kick and a punishing right hand. With six of his seven wins coming by KO/TKO, he has quickly established himself as a finisher with star potential.

His cage composure, clean technique, and ability to control range make him a stylistic problem for most middleweights. Still early in his UFC tenure, he’s already being viewed as one of the division’s most promising newcomers.
