Road to UFC breakthrough

Park earned his shot through Road to UFC in 2022. In the quarterfinal he stopped Jeremia Siregar by first-round TKO, then submitted Topnoi Kiwram with a first-round rear-naked choke to advance, a pair of quick finishes that showcased exactly the closing instinct that makes him dangerous.

UFC run

Park carried that momentum into the Octagon, opening with a third-round rear-naked choke of Seung Guk Choi in February 2023 and following it with a second-round TKO of veteran Shannon Ross via knees and punches. After a layoff he returned in May 2025 to submit Carlos Hernandez with a first-round rear-naked choke, extending his finishing streak. The competition then sharpened considerably. In August 2025 he was submitted by the highly regarded Tatsuro Taira, who entered at 16-1, via a second-round face crank, and that October he dropped a third-round rear-naked choke to Bruno Silva. The back-to-back submission losses exposed the grappling exchanges as the area where the division's elite have found answers.

Fighting style

Park is one of the most finish-oriented fighters at flyweight, with a stoppage rate near 90 percent built on five submissions and four knockouts among his 10 wins. He is genuinely two-pronged: he hunts the rear-naked choke off back takes and scrambles, and he carries fight-ending power on the feet, frequently scoring with knees in tight. That dual threat makes him a problem for opponents who can only defend one phase. His vulnerability, as his recent results show, lies in elite-level grappling exchanges, where world-class submission artists have turned his own aggression against him.
