Raimond Magomedaliev Record: 10-2-0

ONE Championship run

Magomedaliev signed with ONE Championship and stumbled out of the gate, dropping a decision to unbeaten James Nakashima in November 2018 for the first loss of his career. He responded by reeling off four straight wins: a first-round guillotine of Joey Pierotti in January 2020, a first-round right-cross knockout of unbeaten Edson Marques that December, and a decision over Tyler McGuire at ONE on TNT 1 in April 2021. The run reestablished him as one of the promotion's rising welterweight threats.

Eagle FC and the Contender Series test

In 2022, Magomedaliev joined Khabib Nurmagomedov's Eagle FC promotion and made an immediate statement, stopping veteran Anthony Njokuani with first-round ground-and-pound at Eagle FC 44. He followed with a decision over the well-regarded Impa Kasanganay at Eagle FC 46 in March 2022, a quality win over a fighter who would go on to become a PFL champion. His bid for the UFC came on Dana White's Contender Series in October 2023, where he was stopped by ground-and-pound from rising Brazilian Mauricio Ruffy in the third round, the most recent bout on a 10-2 record.

Fighting style

Magomedaliev is a powerful, well-rounded welterweight with a 70% finish rate, splitting his 10 wins between five knockouts, two submissions and three decisions. His sambo and wrestling base gives him a smothering top game and the ability to dictate where fights take place, but unlike many of his Dagestani peers he is also a genuine knockout threat on the feet, as the right-cross finish of Edson Marques showed. The honest caution in his record is that his two losses came against high-level pressure: a decision to the unbeaten Nakashima early in his international run, and a late ground-and-pound stoppage by Ruffy when the fight got into deep water.
