Building an unbeaten record

The story of Jimenez's rise is one of relentless first-round finishing. After opening his career with quick submissions of Blanco and Erik Castro, he showed he could also go the distance, decisioning the experienced Uriel Cossio over three rounds in 2019. From there the knockouts piled up: a 2020 TKO of Saul Cabrera, a 2021 stoppage of Michael Rodriguez, and a 2022 knockout of Devante Sewell by knee and punches. His Combate Global tear peaked in 2023 with a TKO of Nicolas Barna via flying knee and punches, then the Copa Combate marathon — a majority-decision win over Pablo Burgos followed hours later by a head-kick TKO of Mauricio Eguiluz and a kimura submission of Tommy Garcia, all on the same card. In August 2025, Jimenez stepped onto the Contender Series and stopped previously unbeaten Tommy Cuozzi (8–0) with elbows and punches in the first round, moving to 11–0 and earning his place on the UFC roster.

Fighting style

Jimenez is a pure finisher with an 82% finish rate: six of his eleven wins have come by knockout and three by submission, with only two reaching the scorecards. He is dangerous everywhere, ending fights with punches, knees, flying knees, head kicks and elbows, and his kimura and rear-naked choke finishes prove the grappling is no afterthought. Ten of his eleven victories have come inside the distance, the overwhelming majority in the opening round, which speaks to both his finishing instinct and the pace he sets early. The open question at the UFC level is how he performs in deeper waters against elite competition, since he has rarely been forced past the first five minutes — but his lone three-round decisions show he can manage a fight when the finish does not come.
