UFC career

Gomis made his UFC debut in September 2022 at the promotion's first-ever event in Paris, edging Jarno Errens by majority decision in front of a roaring French crowd. He kept the momentum going in 2023, taking a split decision over unbeaten prospect Francis Marshall, then delivering a standout third-round body-kick TKO of Yanis Ghemmouri – a finish that highlighted the Sanda-honed kicking game at the core of his style. In September 2024 he scored arguably his biggest win, a split decision over the dangerous Joanderson Brito.

Recent stretch

That four-fight UFC win streak ended in March 2025, when Gomis dropped a split decision to unbeaten Hyder Amil in a razor-thin bout. He rebounded later that year with a unanimous-decision win over Robert Ruchała, reasserting himself in the featherweight rankings picture. In May 2026 he stepped up against grappling specialist Pat Sabatini at UFC 328 and lost a unanimous decision, a result that exposed the wrestling-heavy matchups that give him the most trouble.

Fighting style

Gomis is a striking-first featherweight whose Sanda background shows in his crisp, varied kicking and his comfort at range, where he uses his height and reach to pick opponents apart. Seven of his 15 wins have come by knockout and seven by decision, with a single submission, a 53% finish rate that reflects a fighter who can both finish and bank rounds. His most demonstrated vulnerability is on the mat: his lone submission loss and his decision defeats to wrestling-oriented opponents suggest that grapplers who can close the distance and ground him present his toughest stylistic puzzle. On the feet, though, he remains one of the more technically polished strikers among Europe's featherweight contingent.
