UFC debut

Koslow stepped up on late notice to make his UFC debut at UFC 282 in December 2022, replacing an injured fighter against unbeaten prospect Cameron Saaiman. It was a steep jump in competition, and Saaiman, then 6-0, handed Koslow the first loss of his career, stopping him by TKO via knees and punches in the third round. The defeat dropped Koslow to 6-1, but it came against a touted talent on the sport's biggest stage and on minimal preparation – the kind of leap many prospects do not get to attempt at all. Saaiman would go on to build a notable UFC run, lending context to how stiff a test the matchup represented for a fighter making his Octagon debut on short notice.
