UFC run

Maksum debuted in July 2023 at a UFC Fight Night, earning a split-decision win over rugged veteran Tyson Nam to keep his unbeaten record intact and announce himself in the flyweight division. The deeper competition then tested him. In February 2024 he dropped a unanimous decision to Charles Johnson, the first loss of his professional career. He returned in June 2025 against the highly regarded Tagir Ulanbekov and again came up short on the cards over three rounds. His most recent bout came in October 2025 at UFC 321, where he lost a unanimous decision to Mitch Raposo. The UFC stretch has shown that, while his grappling travels, he has run into a string of close, grind-it-out decisions against the division’s gatekeepers.
