UFC breakthrough

Rodrigues made the Octagon his own quickly. He decisioned Duško Todorović in his 2021 debut, then knocked out Jun Yong Park later that year. A 2022 split-decision loss to Armen Petrosyan was the only blemish in a strong stretch that also featured a first-round knockout of Julian Marquez and a violent second-round TKO of Chidi Njokuani. The roller-coaster continued in 2023: he was knocked out in the first round by undefeated Brunno Ferreira, then answered with a first-round knockout of Denis Tiuliulin at UFC 292.

Climbing the rankings

Rodrigues then put together his best run. He stopped veteran Brad Tavares with strikes in 2024, outpointed Christian Leroy Duncan at UFC 304, and after a 2025 TKO loss to former title challenger Jared Cannonier, bounced right back with a first-round knockout of Jack Hermansson at UFC 317. He capped the run with a unanimous decision over Roman Kopylov at UFC 322, before completing one of the more satisfying arcs of his career in 2026 – avenging his earlier defeat with a first-round knockout of Brunno Ferreira in their rematch at UFC 326.

Fighting style

Rodrigues is a pressure striker with serious knockout power – 12 of his 19 wins came by KO/TKO, anchoring a 79% finish rate, the highest in this group of contenders. His decorated jiu-jitsu (he holds a black belt and multiple grappling titles) gives him a dangerous fallback, evidenced by armbar finishes earlier in his career, but in the UFC he has leaned on his hands and forward march. The "RoboCop" durability is real, yet it cuts both ways: four of his six losses came by knockout, a sign that his all-action, come-forward style can leave him hittable. When his chin holds, though, he is one of the most consistent finishers in the middleweight division.
