The Contender Series and Cage Warriors

Driscoll's biggest spotlight in the United States came in 2020, when he earned a decision win over the experienced Dinis Paiva on Dana White's Contender Series, a result that underlined his ability to outwork seasoned opposition. He carried that momentum overseas to Cage Warriors, the promotion that helped launch the likes of Conor McGregor and Michael Bisping, and reeled off a 2022 decision win over Joshua Jones to position himself for a title shot.

Title challenge

That shot came in July 2022, when Driscoll headlined Cage Warriors 141 opposite the surging Englishman George Hardwick. In a hard-fought main event, Driscoll was eventually stopped in the fourth round by a body shot and follow-up ground-and-pound, the kind of attritional finish that defined Hardwick's run. It was a setback, but Driscoll answered the way fighters of his mold tend to: he returned to Cage Warriors in June 2023 and blasted out James Lynch with first-round punches, reminding the lightweight division of the power and pressure that had carried him that far.
