Building an unbeaten run

Across his Octagon League stretch, Magomedov proved he could finish veterans as readily as prospects. He blew through Elnar Ibragimov, a fighter with 17 wins, by first-round TKO at Octagon 48, then submitted Ulan Tamgabaev with a third-round arm-triangle choke at Octagon 52. He kept the submissions flowing with a first-round rear-naked choke of Beksultan Taalay uulu at Octagon 55 and a second-round triangle choke of Sardor Khudoyberdiev at Octagon 59, before reminding everyone of his striking with a second-round knockout of the experienced Claudeci Brito – via knee and punches – in a bout that carried his name in the headline at Octagon 67.

Contender Series and the UFC call

Magomedov earned his UFC opportunity on Dana White's Contender Series in September 2025, where he faced fellow undefeated prospect Brahyan Zurcher, who arrived 9-0. Magomedov needed only one round, stopping Zurcher by TKO to push his own record to a perfect 10-0 and secure a contract. He is set to make his official UFC debut at a UFC Fight Night card on June 20, 2026, against the dangerous striker Melsik Baghdasaryan – a step up that will test his finishing instincts against established Octagon competition.
