Tommy McMillen Record: 12-0-0

Contender Series breakthrough

McMillen's UFC contract came on Dana White's Contender Series in September 2025, where he faced undefeated prospect David Mgoyan. In a departure from his usual quick finishes, McMillen showed a different gear, outworking Mgoyan over three rounds to take a majority decision and snap his opponent's perfect record. Proving he could win a grind as well as a sprint was exactly the kind of statement that earns a UFC deal.

Octagon debut

McMillen wasted no time making an impression in the UFC. In April 2026 he debuted against Manolo Zecchini and returned to his finishing ways, stopping the experienced Italian in the first round with a knee and follow-up punches. The performance pushed him to a perfect 10-0 and announced him as one of the more promising new featherweights on the roster, carrying the momentum of Montana's growing fight scene behind him.

Fighting style

McMillen is a finisher built on an elite wrestling base, with a 90 percent finish rate across his 10 wins: five submissions, four knockouts and just a single decision. His grappling pedigree as a three-time state champion shows in his control and his fondness for the guillotine choke, which has produced several of his stoppages, while his striking carries enough power to end fights on the feet, as the knee-and-punches finish of Zecchini demonstrated. The lone question mark is simply experience against elite competition – his perfect record was built largely on the regional circuit – but his ability to win both early finishes and a hard three-round decision suggests a well-rounded fighter with room to grow.
