Building toward the big stage

Murad's most telling stretch came in 2021. In February he traveled to Titan FC 67 and outpointed Muhammad Naimov, a 5-1 prospect who would later reach the UFC, taking a decision in a grinding test of his all-around game. Later that year he earned a Contender Series opportunity, where he defeated Bin Xie by decision in October 2021 – a win on the sport's most-watched prospect showcase that pushed his record to a career-best peak. Those two decisions, against quality opposition, were the high-water mark of his climb.

Setbacks and a finishing answer

The momentum stalled in 2022 and 2023, when Murad dropped back-to-back decisions to Milko Tucto at LFA 134 and to the veteran Guilherme Faria at XFC. Both losses went the distance, underscoring that close, competitive rounds had become the puzzle to solve. He answered emphatically in November 2023 at Combat Zone 82, submitting Tom Pagliarulo – a 6-1 prospect – with a third-round armbar, a reminder that his grappling remains a real threat when fights hit the mat.

Murad is a balanced finisher with a 71% finish rate across his wins, which break down as two knockouts, three submissions, and two decisions. As a southpaw he can hurt opponents standing, but his most dangerous tools come on the ground, where his submission catalog – heel hooks, armbars, and the like – has ended several fights.
