Yanis Ghemmouri Record: 13-4-0

UFC run

Ghemmouri's UFC debut came in September 2023 in Paris against fellow Frenchman William Gomis, who outworked him and stopped him with a third-round body kick – a rare instance of Ghemmouri being unable to get his offense going. He returned in June 2024 at UFC 303 against undefeated prospect Payton Talbott, who caught him with a right cross and followed up with ground strikes for a first-round finish. Those two results account for the only blemishes on his promotional ledger to date and underscore the step up in competition from the regional scene.

Fighting style

Ghemmouri is a striker by trade who finishes like a grappler. Of his 12 wins, four have come by submission and three by knockout, giving him a 58% finish rate that reflects genuine two-way danger. His kickboxing base makes him comfortable trading in the pocket and dictating range with kicks, while his ground game – built on arm triangles, triangle chokes and rear-naked chokes – is where many of his most decisive finishes have come. He also tends to win the longer fights, with five of his victories reaching the judges, suggesting solid conditioning and ring generalship. The honest concern from his UFC bouts is durability and output against top-tier pressure, with both of his promotional losses coming by stoppage when he was unable to impose his own offense.
