Personal background
Kron Gracie is a Brazilian featherweight competitor in the UFC and one of the most decorated grapplers ever to enter the Octagon. Born on July 11, 1988, in Rio de Janeiro, he is the son of legendary jiu-jitsu master Rickson Gracie and a grandson of Gracie jiu-jitsu co-founder Helio Gracie, placing him at the heart of the most famous family in combat sports. Trained from childhood under his father, Kron received his black belt from Rickson in 2008 at age 19 and went on to become a standout in elite grappling competition. He fights out of his own Kron Gracie Jiu-Jitsu academy, and at 5'9" with a 70-inch reach, he brings a submission-only style that has stayed remarkably true to his roots: every single one of his MMA wins has come by submission.
Grappling foundation
Before MMA, Gracie made his name on the world’s biggest grappling stages.
