Marwan Rahiki bio
Personal background
Marwan Rahiki, nicknamed "Freaky," is a Moroccan-born featherweight fighting out of Australia in the UFC. Born on May 10, 2002, in Rabat, Morocco, he grew up learning to defend himself and took up kickboxing at 14, inspired in part by his father's admiration for Dutch-Moroccan kickboxing icon Badr Hari. Chasing a more structured path in combat sports, Rahiki left his family behind and moved to Australia at 19 to pursue mixed martial arts full-time. He now trains at Lions Den Academy and competes out of Sydney, and at 5'10" with a 72" reach he carries the explosive, highlight-reel striking that has made his perfect record so eye-catching.
Path to the UFC
Rahiki turned professional in 2024 and wasted no time building a reputation on the Australian regional circuit. He opened with a second-round knockout of Julian Giustiniano via a punch to the body at Eternal MMA 82, then produced one of his signature highlights, a first-round spinning-back-kick knockout of Ryan Dennis at Superfight MMA 22. He continued the run by knocking out the experienced Michael Mannu inside a round and stopping Michael Barber with first-round punches in March 2025.
Finishing everyone
What set Rahiki apart was that he didn't just win – he finished. He showed his grappling could close fights too, submitting Semakadde Kakembo with a fourth-round guillotine in May 2025, then returned to his striking to stop Gabriel Schlupp in the second round that July. By the time he reached Dana White's Contender Series in October 2025, he was a perfect, all-finishes prospect. He delivered again, battering Ananias Mulumba (9-2) with second-round elbows and punches to earn his UFC contract.
Two-for-two in the UFC
Rahiki made his promotional debut on March 14, 2026, against the durable veteran Harry Hardwick (13-4-1), stopping him by second-round TKO after a jaw injury halted the bout. He backed it up quickly at UFC Perth on May 2, 2026, blitzing short-notice newcomer Ollie Schmid with a first-round TKO. Two fights into his UFC tenure, the Moroccan-Australian remained undefeated and had preserved the most remarkable trait of his entire career: he has never heard the final bell.

Fighting style
Rahiki is the purest finisher in this group of prospects, with a flawless 100% finish rate across nine wins – eight by knockout and one by submission. His striking is dynamic and unorthodox, blending the kickboxing base he built as a teenager with flashy weapons like the spinning back kick that flattened Dennis. Crucially, his guillotine finish of Kakembo shows the grappling threat is real, making him dangerous everywhere a fight can go. The open question, as with any undefeated knockout artist, is how his aggression and chin hold up as the UFC competition steepens, but through nine pro fights and two octagon appearances nobody has yet found an answer.
Career highlights
- Perfect record, 100% finish rate — has stopped all nine professional opponents, eight by knockout.
- Two UFC wins to open his career — stopped Harry Hardwick and Ollie Schmid in his first two octagon appearances.
- Contender Series contract — finished Ananias Mulumba in the second round in October 2025 to secure his UFC deal.
