Early UFC growing pains

The step up was steep. Hardy debuted in September 2016 against Ashlee Evans-Smith and was stopped by third-round elbows, then dropped decisions and a submission across her next several Octagon appearances, including a unanimous-decision loss to Andrea Lee in 2018 and a rear-naked-choke defeat to Gillian Robertson in early 2019. The lone bright spot of that stretch was a major one: an August 2019 first-round armbar of Polyana Viana that showed the finishing pedigree was real. A 2020 decision loss to Bea Malecki left her at a career crossroads.

The turnaround

After a multi-year layoff, Hardy returned in 2023 a more polished, patient fighter and reeled off the best run of her career. She out-pointed Juliana Miller by unanimous decision at UFC 286 in March 2023, edged unbeaten prospect Jamey-Lyn Horth by split decision that December, and then scored a clear unanimous-decision win over veteran JJ Aldrich in May 2024. A unanimous-decision loss to surging prospect Eduarda Moura at UFC 309 in November 2024 snapped the streak, but she bounced back with a unanimous-decision victory over Brogan Walker at UFC 320 in October 2025 to push her record to 10-5-1 and reaffirm her place in the flyweight mix.

Fighting style

Hardy is a well-rounded technician whose game has matured from finisher to decision-winner. Her record tells the story of that evolution: with one knockout and two submissions among her 10 wins but seven by decision, she has increasingly relied on volume, technique and fight IQ to bank rounds rather than chase the finish. Her taekwondo base shows in her kicking and distance management, while her jiu-jitsu remains a genuine threat – the armbar of Viana and the heel hook of Gevorgyan prove she can end a fight when the opening appears. The honest knock is finishing rate at the top level, but her recent form suggests a fighter who has figured out how to win the close ones that once went against her.
