UFC career

Kutateladze announced himself in dramatic fashion. In his promotional debut in October 2020, he handed unbeaten prospect Mateusz Gamrot his first professional loss, taking a split decision in a closely contested battle – an early signal that the Georgian belonged among the division's prospects. Injuries and a difficult schedule slowed his momentum, and his next octagon appearance did not come until June 2022, when he dropped a split decision to Damir Ismagulov in another razor-thin contest.

The middle of his UFC run grew bumpy. He lost by strikes to Elves Brener in July 2023, and in a grappling crossover bout that October was submitted by Marcin Held at ADXC 1. Kutateladze steadied himself back in MMA with a unanimous-decision win over Jordan Vucenic in August 2024, before dropping a unanimous decision to Kauê Fernandes in March 2025.

Fighting style

Kutateladze is a measured, technically diverse fighter who can win on the feet or on the mat. Seven of his 13 wins have come by knockout or TKO, with one submission and five decisions, for a finish rate around 62 percent. His grappling roots give him a stout takedown defense and scrambling ability, while his striking has produced clean stoppages on the regional scene. His UFC tenure has been defined by competitiveness in close fights – three of his promotional losses came by decision – and by the difficulty of staying active, which has repeatedly interrupted his rhythm against elite opposition.
