UFC career

Moisés was thrown into the deep end immediately, dropping his October 2018 promotional debut to surging contender Beneil Dariush by decision. He rebounded in May 2019 by outpointing veteran Kurt Holobaugh, then dropped a competitive decision to unbeaten Damir Ismagulov. The 2020 stretch showed his ceiling: after a grappling-rules loss to Vagner Rocha, he submitted Michael Johnson with a slick ankle lock and then outworked respected gatekeeper Bobby Green over three rounds. A 2021 decision win over Alexander Hernandez earned him the biggest fight of his career – a July 2021 main event against future two-division champion Islam Makhachev, who submitted him with a fourth-round rear-naked choke. He was stopped again in his next bout by Joel Alvarez, but reset with submission wins over Christos Giagos in 2022 and Melquizael Costa at UFC 283 in early 2023. From there the results turned streaky: a 2023 TKO loss to Benoit Saint-Denis, a 2024 leg-kick stoppage of Mitch Ramirez, and a decision loss to Ľudovít Klein. He opened 2025 with a decision over Trey Ogden, but then suffered a first-round knockout against Jared Gordon and dropped a 2026 split decision to Gauge Young.

Fighting style

Moisés is a grappler at his core, and the numbers bear it out – eight of his 19 wins have come by submission, the single largest share of his finishes. His jiu-jitsu is the throughline: ankle locks, chokes and tight scrambles, with the ability to win on the mat in either direction. Over his UFC tenure he has rounded out a competent kicking game and three-round cardio, giving him a balanced toolkit that produces a mix of finishes and decisions. His honest weakness is durability against the division's heaviest hitters; three of his ten losses have come by knockout, and several of his most painful defeats arrived when bigger punchers caught him. At his best, though, Moisés is a problem for anyone forced to grapple with him.
