Building a UFC career

Lookboonmee's early UFC run was a learning curve. She dropped a unanimous decision to veteran Angela Hill in February 2020 before settling into a groove. She out-pointed Jinh Yu Frey in October 2020 and Sam Hughes in May 2021, both by unanimous decision, leaning on her clinch work and volume. A unanimous-decision loss to Lupita Godinez in late 2021 slowed her momentum, but she answered with the best stretch of her career, beating Denise Gomes on the cards in 2022 and then showing off her grappling growth with a second-round rear-naked choke of Elise Reed at UFC 284 in February 2023.

Veteran of the division

Lookboonmee kept rolling with decision wins over Bruna Brasil in 2024 and Istela Nunes in April 2025, cementing her as a durable, technically sharp gatekeeper in the strawweight ranks. The back half of her recent schedule turned tougher: she dropped a unanimous decision to Alexia Thainara in September 2025, then was submitted by armbar in the first round by Jaqueline Amorim in May 2026, a reminder that elite grapplers remain the toughest stylistic test for a fighter rooted in the stand-up game.

Lookboonmee is, first and foremost, a Muay Thai stylist, and her record reflects a grinder rather than a one-shot finisher. Eight of her 10 wins have come by decision, with just one knockout and one submission, giving her a low finish rate that belies how consistently she controls fights with clinch entries, knees, elbows, and pressure.
