Invicta bantamweight title run

The breakthrough came at Invicta FC: Phoenix Series 3 in March 2020, a single-night bantamweight tournament. Tennant won the bracket on points, capped by a decision over Taylor Guardado in the final, to be crowned Invicta FC bantamweight champion. Her unbeaten streak was halted later that year on Dana White's Contender Series, where she dropped a decision to Danyelle Wolf in 2020 — a loss to an Olympic-caliber boxer that did nothing to cost her the belt. She returned to defend it, edging Bellator veteran Lisa Verzosa by decision at Invicta FC 44 in August 2021 and then surviving a hard-fought decision over Olga Rubin at Invicta FC 48 in July 2022 to retain the championship.

Recent setback

Tennant's title reign closed out in January 2023, when she lost a decision to former UFC fighter Talita Bernardo at Invicta FC 51, dropping her professional MMA record to 5-2.
