Personal background
Hailey Cowan, nicknamed "All Hail," is an American featherweight who competes in the UFC out of Waco, Texas. Born on February 12, 1992, in Waco, she came to mixed martial arts from an elite gymnastics and acrobatics pedigree rather than a traditional fighting background. She began gymnastics as a young child and went on to compete at Baylor University as a member of its inaugural acrobatics and tumbling team, where she earned NCATA All-American honors and an individual event national title. Cowan first walked into an MMA gym in her early twenties and never looked back, building her career out of Blitz Sport MMA under head coach Jake Brennan, who is also her husband. At 5'8" with a 67-inch reach, she carries the explosive athleticism and body control of her tumbling days into the cage.
Path to the UFC
Cowan turned professional in 2018 and ran straight into adversity, dropping her debut to Victoria Leonardo by first-round rear-naked choke at LFA 40. She responded by reeling off five straight wins on the Legacy Fighting Alliance circuit, mixing knockouts and submissions with decision grit, before earning her shot on Dana White's Contender Series in 2022. There she edged Cláudia Leite by split decision to secure her UFC contract, becoming the first female fighter from the Central Texas area to reach the promotion.
UFC run
Cowan's promotional debut came in April 2023 against undefeated prospect Jamey-Lyn Horth, who handed her a unanimous-decision loss over three rounds. The Texan returned in April 2025 at UFC 314 against Nora Cornolle, falling to a second-round rear-naked choke. In April 2026 she shared the cage with surging prospect Alice Pereira, who stopped her by knee in the second round.
