MMA Debut & Rise to UFC

Kopylov began his professional MMA career in 2016, quickly making waves in Russia’s regional scene. He compiled an undefeated 8–0 record, capturing and defending the Fight Nights Global Middleweight Championship. His performances were marked by crisp striking, strong takedown defense, and a high finishing rate—all of which earned him a call from the UFC.

He made his UFC debut in November 2019, but faced tough early tests, dropping his first two bouts. Rather than fade, Kopylov adjusted, improved, and returned stronger.
