Building an unbeaten Octagon streak

Allen debuted in the UFC in June 2015 with a third-round guillotine choke of veteran Alan Omer, then settled into a long, methodical climb. He outpointed Yaotzin Meza in 2016, edged Makwan Amirkhani by split decision in 2017, and submitted Mads Burnell with a guillotine in 2018. Decision wins over Jordan Rinaldi, former Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez and the durable Nik Lentz stacked up through 2020, quietly building one of the division's longest active win streaks.

Into the contender ranks

The competition stiffened and Allen kept winning. He took a unanimous decision over surging prospect Sodiq Yusuff in 2021, then delivered his signature performance in March 2022, stopping Dan Hooker by first-round TKO. He followed with a second-round win over former title challenger Calvin Kattar, ending the bout after a knee injury, to push his UFC unbeaten run to a remarkable 10 straight and crash the top of the featherweight rankings.

Testing the elite

Allen's first true measuring stick against the division's best came in April 2023, when he dropped a five-round unanimous decision to former champion Max Holloway in a main event — his first UFC loss. He then fell to unbeaten Movsar Evloev in January 2024 before steadying himself with a unanimous-decision win over Giga Chikadze later that year. A 2026 decision loss to Jean Silva was followed by a gritty five-round decision win over Melquizael Costa, keeping the Brit firmly entrenched among the featherweight contenders.

Allen is a complete, technically polished featherweight whose record blends finishing pop with championship-level grit: of his 21 wins, eight have come by knockout, four by submission and nine by decision, a 57% finish rate. A slick southpaw striker with crisp counters and underrated power, he is equally comfortable hunting guillotines and triangles on the mat, a versatility that produced several of his early stoppages.
